ive been a member of this social networking website and ive found a few (or several things) that i got hooked to and now i am addicted to it. what are they? here they are.

as of press time, im addicted to farming. yeah. you heard me right. farming. facebook has several farming games that i am currently playing and im kinda addicted to those games.

funny thing about it is that, im way too old to play games, frankly speaking. hahaha. but i enjoy plaing it. im currently maintaining farms at FARMVILLE and FARMTOWN and man, its not easy to run a farm. now i know the feeling of farmers if their crops die or destroyed by pests because its not easy to grow them. hmpf.

another thing that i am addicted to is TYPING MANIAC. its not that i want to show-off my typing skills when im playing in a public cafe but i just love the words that fall out of nowhere and they pop in mid-air when you get to type those words correctly and you earn points that would later make you move on to the next level. hahahaha.

its really funny thinking about making a post about online games such as these (and in facebook they call it apps) games because i think its non-sense. haha. i just want to make a post here because its been a while that i wasnt able to make a post here. hmpf.

and i think you're really mean!

this is just one of those songs that when i hear them they make me think of the things that i have done in the past or the things that moved me either in the positive or the negative way. some just affect me so much that brings me to a point that i cant recover anymore.

i want nobody but you.

the first part of the song does not really have a connection with the post body. i just want to share my thoughts on how songs move me so much and sometime they reflect the person and the life that i have now and the life that i would love to have in the not-so-near future.

i kinda love this song. though i cant understand most of its lyrics but one thing that i love about is the part which goes:

"i want nobody but you..."

i wish i can say this someday to the one that i like (or love) and on that very day, he would answer me back that he wants nobody else but me.

this post is all about the music that i have grown to love (and memorize) for the past few days and one of it is the song by keri hilson feat. kanye west and ne-yo entitled "knock you down". actually, i have seen and heard the video of this single by ms.hilson way back in summer but i only got the chance to have on my phone last week and trust me, it kinda got me so hooked to the song that i played it countless times and eventually memorized some parts without the help of the lyrics.

one thing i love about the song is, so far, its the only song that i have heard that tells three stories in 5 minutes. the first verse tells the story of a girl who found her new love and is happy with her current state with him and prays that he will never let him go.

"i never thought id fall for you as hard like this. you got me thinking about my life, my house and kids. every morning, i look at you and smile 'coz boy you came around and you knocked me down."

the next verse is of the girl's new love. he tells the story of how he found the girl and made him fall for her and changed his life and that how love knocked him down.

"i never thought id hear myself say, ya'll go 'head i think im gonna kick it with my girl today. i used to be commander-in-chief of my pimp ship flyin' high, till i met this pretty little miss that shot me out the sky. hey, now i am crashin', dont know how it happened but i know it feels so damn good..."

the third and last verse talks about the X. he's all lost and torn and is shattered into pieces and hardly finds the time to forget everything and just move on. his story is as typical as any man would be going through after a break-up. sometimes, the toughest man is the one who crumbles and sits in one corner and cry.

"you was always the chearleader of my dreams that seem to only date the head of the football team and i was the clown, i always made you laugh, baby we were never meant to be, we just happen..."

i hope and pray that someday, i would find that perfect person. well, maybe not the best and maybe not the least but, someone whom i can call mine and that can make me happy by having him around no matter what happens, we would still hang on to each other and make things work.

pageants.

Add to Favourites
dont see the point of it all.

really, what is there to see than barely naked guys and gals strutting their stuff on the ramp? a while ago i was viewing the "HARI NG NEGROS" profile on friendster and really. i dont get those guys. what do they want to earn or gain in joining the pageant?

yeah, yeah. the pageant has been existing since the 2k whatever and every year they gather guys from all over the province to compete with each other to find out who is worthy enough to wear the crown and be hailed as king of the province.

honestly, i really have nothing against these pageant whatevers. they entertain me in such a way that they amaze me with what talents they have and what they have to say about certain current events that most of the people dont care about. NOT! whatever they have to say, its scripted! from the way they talk and walk, its all part of a big show called "boo!"

i dont really see the point in these men who walk around in their undies and bare everything they have got to the world.

i know, pageants are there to showcase the hidden talents of the contestants who come from different walks of life. they reflect the upbringing of their culture (from where they belong) and everything else that goes along with it.

one thing i hate about these pageants is that, the contestants dont really come from they place they so-call represent. for instance, for 2 consecutive years, i didnt even know that the guy that is representing our place actually comes from our place. they have this so-called "guidelines" i think that the contestant must be a resident of that place in order for him to represent it and honestly, that guy is a total stranger to me.

its not something to brag about but here in my place, i know 75% of the people (from 80+ years olds to 1+ years old, may it by familiarity or acquaintance) and i dont think its not fair to let someone represent a certain place when in fact he is not even known. most of the people dont even think he exists and suddenly he becomes the ambassador of no good will.

another thing is that, the contestants, after the pageant would, in one way or another change. and i mean, mega change. like this one instance wherein, a contestant representing DUMAGUETE CITY (capital of Negros ORiental) turned out to be gay. male pageant and a gay competes. what the heck?!

you know what happened? it created a buzz and soon it made people think of all sorts of negative stuff. like, the contest's credibility is not really that good and why they let a gay person compete in a pageant wherein the contestants are male and somehow, sooner or later, they will reflect the whole province's whatsoever reputation, i mean, come on! who would want to hear that? and its not just the people of the province that know. the pageant im talking about is somewhat big, in terms of audience. its not an exclusive pageant of the province but its being anticipated by people from all across the country and something like this would happen? tsk, tsk, tsk. not good at all.

sigh. i wish for an ice cream cone. double dutch flava please. im so psyched today. i dont know why.
